Fall Pumpkin Picking
Well, the leaves are all down, except for a few pesky stragglers on the sycamore tree. My husband and I spent the better part of Saturday cleaning up what seemed like an ocean of fallen leaves. Our dog Lucy had a wonderful time rooting around in the piles. Fall is my second favorite season, right behind spring, because it is so colorful, and you can't beat the wonderful traditions of hot apple cider, football, and getting cozy on the couch on a Sunday afternoon.
I've also observed something interesting about pumpkins this year. Children are drawn to them. They can't resist attempting to pick up the largest one they can handle and lug it around with a proud expression plastered on their little faces. Thank goodness for Fall and pumpkin patches!
