Bicentennial Woods

There's a place not far from my home where you can enjoy a little bit of nature.  Bicentennial Woods is part of Acres Land Trust, and organization that purchases old growth forests in North Eastern Indiana to conserve them.  They've created some amazing nature preserves that are wonderful places to hike and spend some time in the great outdoors.  I often take Lucy to Bicentennial on walks.  Today we sauntered along Cedar Creek, through a groove of sugar maples, and along a marsh.  We saw a deer, or rather the white flick of its tail as it bounded away, chipmunks, squirrels, crows, and plenty of beautiful fall scenery.  Times like these are when I feel closest to God.

Learning to Animate: Part 2

This took FOREVER but I was fairly pleased with the results!  A bit more complicated than my little blue bird.  I wanted to mention a bit about the process of animating in Photoshop.  It's very similar to traditional animation.  You draw a new image for each new movement you want to capture.  For my animation I chose to create the action at fifteen frames per second.  That means I had to make fifteen drawings per each second of finished animation!
